America First Conservative Pledges Accountability, Constitutional Governance, and Efficient State Services

OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha businessman and longtime Republican leader Scott Petersen announced today that he is running for Nebraska Secretary of State, pledging to bring a business-minded approach, strong accountability, and respect for the rule of law to the office.

Petersen is a business owner with decades of successful private-sector experience and a long record of service within the Nebraska Republican Party. He currently serves as Vice Chair of Nebraska’s Second Congressional District and on the Nebraska Republican Party Executive Committee. He previously served as Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Party and represented Nebraska as a National Delegate to the 2024 Republican National Convention, where he proudly cast his vote for President Donald J. Trump.

Petersen said his decision to run comes from a belief that the Secretary of State’s office plays a critical role in maintaining public trust and ensuring government works as intended.

“The Secretary of State’s office exists to serve the people of Nebraska,” Petersen said. “That means enforcing the law fairly, running secure and reliable elections, and making sure our state’s business and public record systems operate efficiently and professionally.”

As a business owner, Petersen said he has personally experienced how state agencies affect employers, entrepreneurs, and families. He believes the office should be run with a focus on consistency, clarity, and responsiveness, and that government systems should make it easier – not harder – for people to start businesses, and interact with their state government.

Petersen has also been involved in election policy discussions in Nebraska, including serving on the Nebraska Republican Party’s legislative subcommittee on election integrity, where he worked to develop recommendations to strengthen transparency and public confidence.

If elected, Petersen said his priorities will include maintaining secure and accurate elections, improving the reliability and accessibility of state records, and ensuring Nebraska remains one of the most business-friendly states in the country.

“You deserve a Secretary of State who listens to, and works hard for, the people of Nebraska,” Petersen said. “I will work every day to serve with integrity, follow the law, and make sure this office operates in a way that earns the trust of the public.”

I have been living in Nebraska for quite a while now and often needed document translation for various personal and academic matters. It is usually hard to find a reliable service that local institutions accept without any issues. Lately I have been using the services found at https://www.rapidtranslate.org/locations/nebraska to handle my paperwork. They seem to understand the requirements for immigration and educational documents in this state quite well. Everything is managed online so there is no need to travel to a physical office in Omaha or Lincoln. The process is straightforward and the accuracy of the terminology has been consistent so far for my needs. It is a practical option if you value stability and want to avoid unnecessary complications with…
