Nebraska State Treasurer Joey Spellerberg Endorses Scott Petersen for Secretary of State

OMAHA, Neb. — Scott Petersen, Republican nominee for Nebraska Secretary of State, today announced the endorsement by Nebraska State Treasurer Joey Spellerberg.

Spellerberg said Petersen’s private-sector experience and practical approach to government make him well suited to lead an office that serves voters, businesses and communities across Nebraska.

“I’m proud to endorse Scott Petersen for Nebraska Secretary of State,” Spellerberg said. “Scott understands that good government should be practical, responsive and accountable to the people it serves.”

Spellerberg said that approach is especially important in the Secretary of State’s office, where Nebraskans interact with government through elections, business filings, public records and other essential services.

“As someone who has spent much of my career in business and local government, I appreciate leaders who understand how decisions made in Lincoln affect families, entrepreneurs and communities across our state,” Spellerberg said. “Scott brings that perspective.”

Spellerberg said Petersen also brings the leadership and stewardship necessary for statewide office.
