OMAHA, Neb. — Scott Petersen, Republican nominee for Nebraska Secretary of State, today announced the endorsement of nationally recognized election integrity advocate Seth Keshel, a former U.S. Army Military Intelligence captain, Afghanistan veteran, author and election data analyst.
Keshel has spent years studying voter registration patterns, election administration and precinct-level data across the country. His work has made him a prominent national voice in the effort to restore confidence in American elections.
“I’m proud to endorse Scott Petersen for Nebraska Secretary of State,” Keshel said. “Nebraska needs a Secretary of State who understands that election integrity is not a talking point. It is the foundation of public confidence in self-government, and it requires courage, transparency, accountability and a willingness to challenge the status quo when necessary.
“Scott has proven himself to be a true grassroots champion. He listens to the people, respects local control and understands that confidence in elections is earned when citizens can see, understand and verify the process for themselves.
“Nebraska has an opportunity to elect a Secretary of State who can become a national leader in restoring confidence in American elections and demonstrating what transparent, citizen-focused election administration should look like. I proudly endorse Scott Petersen.”
Petersen said Keshel’s endorsement carries special significance because of his longstanding commitment to election reform and his willingness to take that message directly to grassroots activists, local leaders and citizens across the country.
“Seth has been steadfast in this fight for years,” Petersen said. “He brought the analytical discipline of a military intelligence officer to one of the most important challenges facing our republic: restoring confidence in our elections. He has traveled the country, studied voter registration and precinct-level trends, educated grassroots leaders and continued pushing for transparency even when doing so was difficult or unpopular.
“What I respect most about Seth is that he has never treated election integrity as a temporary political issue. He has made it a national mission. His work has helped people across the country better understand their local elections, their voter data and the importance of citizen involvement. I’m honored to have his support, and I look forward to working alongside leaders like Seth to make Nebraska a national model for election transparency and public confidence.”
Petersen has made election integrity a central focus of his campaign for Secretary of State, emphasizing accurate voter rolls, citizenship verification, voter ID, voter-verifiable paper ballots, strong chain-of-custody protections, transparent audits and greater public visibility into election administration.
