This is what I voted for. Thank you, President Trump.

For years, Nebraskans have been asking for something simple: Secure, transparent, and verifiable elections.

Now, we’re seeing real movement in that direction.

What This Means

The President’s new Executive Order takes important steps to strengthen election integrity, including:

• Strengthening citizenship verification for voter eligibility

• Improving the accuracy of voter rolls

• Requiring better tracking and accountability for mail-in ballots

• Ensuring election records are preserved for audit and review

• Increasing coordination to investigate election-related violations

These are common-sense measures to help restore confidence in our elections.

This Executive Order takes real steps toward restoring confidence in our elections, something we’ve been fighting for right here in Nebraska.

Nebraska Was Already Working on This

Here in Nebraska, we’ve already been pushing for these reforms. Back in 2023, I helped advance legislation as a member of the Nebraska Republican Party’s Select Legislative Subcommittee on Election Integrity, focused on:

• Secure paper ballots

• Chain-of-custody protections

• Anti-counterfeiting safeguards

• Greater transparency and oversight

But those reforms didn’t move forward. That needs to change.

The Bottom Line

We shouldn’t have to wait on Washington to get this right. Nebraska can lead with clear rules, accountable processes, and leadership that takes responsibility.

As your next Secretary of State, that’s exactly what I will deliver. Because when it comes to our elections:

You shouldn’t settle for less than Secure, Transparent, and Verifiable Elections.
